"WHY?, YA WRITIN A BOOK?""

Happy Father's Day Pops!!
We all know how great pops is, but one thing some people may not know is that ANYTIME OF THE DAY OR NIGHT if we are hungry he will stop WHATEVER he is doing and make you something to eat. You aren't allowed to ask what it is, and sometimes you are quite surprised, but you are not ever let down. I am especially noticing this service being famished and pregnant 24/7. The other night, jason and i had a steak salad, but about two hours later i was on deaths door with starvation. I got in my car with Alexis at 8:30 p.m. and went to ma and pa's house. When i walked in the door i said, "i need food" Then I yelled for dad. Mom offered and was going to make me a cheese sandwich. Dad left his golf game and came boldly down the stairs, saying "I WILL MAKE IT, GO SIT DOWN!" THAT IS DAD! Well I kept asking him what it was so i could change it up a little so i would be perfectly happy. He kept saying, "just wait, i am NOT telling you". So a few minutes later I am given a plate with a yummy, big turkey patty with A-1 all over it, Omaha Steak potatoes, and a grilled veggie mix of green beans and yellow squash, and then a delicious piece of toast. the second he sat down I said " Oh dad, I sure am thirsty" Up he ALWAYS goes to get anyone water!! Honestly, whatever sibling reads this will just know that i really hit the nail on the head on this post!! I sure do love my dad and if only the whole world could have a dad as cool, funny, thoughtful, smart and loving as my dad the world would be one happy place!!

My whole life whenever we asked dad what was for dinner, even if you were truly dying to know, he would ALWAYS reply with "Why, ya writing a book" and you could not get it out of him. He always names his meals.

FROM DRAB TO FAB TAG FROM JENN

SO when you check out jennifer, jill and jayne's post you will see that they have turned something drab into something very fab, so i guess it is my turn! Most these projects are old, but i haven't done that much decorating lately, except for our bedroom that still isn't quite done. We still haven't even hung my gorgeous chandelier yet, in fact i still haven't even taken it out of the box. Call me pregnant, i know.
Here goes...SO this was the chandelier that the builder put in with those ugly etched looking glass shades, well i replaced those with frilly, crystal beaded ones, ripped up a wreath from Marshalls and laced it through the rod iron and then hung long crystals underneath the shades and painted the crystals pink... much improved.
WHy have a regular white ceiling medallion in a nursery when you can't paint it to match all the colors in the room?


My former uncle got rid of his dark brown laminate/wood desk and i asked my aunt for it and painted it fresh white and "dolled" it up a bit. It needs knew knobs desperately!!


Some folks may love this stained blue armoir with the pine knots showing through. Not me, when we moved it from the office it had to be painted white and i LOVE the aqua porcelin flower knobs and the pink knobs. WHen you open it I have the yellow knobs on the drawer. Much better in my opinion.
