Okay, so we are stuck indoors on yet another cold rainy day, the boys are napping and Alexis is watching Little House, and I am not about to clean up the co op mess yet. Thus a new blog post is born. I will make this somewhat quick because a little nap may be in order for me.

Saturday we all needed to get out. We weren't sure if we would just go to Trader Joe's or the park. After ten minutes driving i looked in the back seat and Mitchie was out cold! I could see Alexis had her blankie over her face which means a nap would be taking place shortly and Matty was looking glossy eyed! So we decided to go the distance and really go somewhere. We decided on Frederick. We took the back country roads so that the kids sleep as long as possible. They must have been very tired because because it was 11:30 and normal naps are at 1. The drive was spectacular. I feel so sad for my friends who have never left the desert on vacay becuase THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE MISSING! Especially the ones who really appreciate nature and beauty! For an hour we were driving in the rolling countryside and the bright green grass and the farm animals, mansions, brightly colored barns were simply eye candy for my soul!!! I kept telling Jason "this is England!" It does it looks just like England. And I love that this area is very old so seeing a church that is VERY old and that has wonderful architecture is not an uncommon site! Needless to say I LOVE IT!!!! We went to downtown Frederick and went to a Mexican restaraunt. It wasn't as good as it was 6 months ago, so we won't be going back I bet. The kids were pretty well behaved. Mexican restaraunts are really good for us because I request a salsa for each kid and they go to town for about a 1/2 hour. After lunch we saw in a flyer that South Mountain Creamery( the farm we order our meat, eggs and milk from) was having their anniversary festivities. We thought we would get back in the car and drive a half hour more and go to the farm! So, back to the beautiful drive on our way to South Mountain. Well, there was a misprint and their were no festivities, but they did have cake. We didn't care for cake so we got ice cream on the way out. We went and looked at all the baby calves. They were really darling actually! The boys were NOT IMPRESSED! I am not sure why they were so unimpressed, but they were. They stared at them in disgust and shock! It was funny actually! There were probably 40 lined up in their little stalls. Some were so dang cute and they had pretty little faces and the longest eyelashes. Matthew kept saying "NO MILK, NO MILK" . There was a huge unattractive pig and many chickens on inside the rafters of the barn. Alexis liked the bunnies. When we left we ran outside and they chased ducks and played on the little playground that was there. We saw the mama cows hooked up to the milking machines. ANyways that's all. IT ended up being a perfect day and EVERYONE and i mean EVERYONE needed to get out that day!! SPRING HAS SPruNG. Oh no, I lied it hasn't it is still cold outside! As far as I am concerned it is still winter out there!
