Miller Reunion in Parowan June 09
Well it was time for the Miller reunion in Parowan. I always look forward to this because I rarely see these folks on dad's side. It is very low key and lots of chatting and catching up. I love all these people!! i hope to make it home for the next one for sure! Hopefully EVERYONE can be there next time.
Just before the "get together" these two love birds got ENGAGED!! Congrats to these two!! I love Jenny already. What's not to love look at her. What is it hate is that her ring isn't yours!! Score Jenny!

Amanda, Amy, Emily and Karen. I so remember when Emily was a baby and would always would walk around saying "Shew" while throwing her head side to side! So cute. Jayne and I always planned to send her a birthday present every year, but I don't think we ever sent one! Sorry EM!
So cute, this is my desktop picture at the moment. You know how i feel about this group!
Alexis hangin' on the porch

Karen was so sweet to bring the blankie to matthew. Mitchie got one too. I emailed her the night before the reunion begging her for more blankies. She gave Alexis a darling one, and Matthew had taken a real liking to it, but it had pink on it, so i thought I would ask. She was so nice and brought me one for both. These are used ALL THE TIME!!!! matthew sucks on his, which i am not sure why he like sucking on the hairy yarn!! oh well, keeps him quiet!

recent rundown
SO much to update on that I am just going to write short sentences on recent updates, news and events. Enjoy.
*Movers came and loaded, drove away and landed in Maryland on July 2nd.
*Loaded over 17,ooo lbs of STUFF
*Cried a lot those last few weeks of living in Vegas.
*Cried even harder when dad left us in Maryland and I witnessed my almost 4 year old REALLY sob in my arms for about a half hour. that is the first time i really understood she has real, raw emotions like I feel. I didn't know she could really understand something like that. It BROKE my heart.
* Said goodbye to amazing family and friends and ward
* Worked my bootie off and haven't stopped yet.
Stayed at mom and dad's for a week. Very great week. Horribly sad to leave mom and dad. In fact it is torture.
*Packed over 120 boxes and still have about 40 to unpack.
*Loved having MIL Dori in Vegas helping us pack and then she drove out here with jason and dog and then was here for a few days to REALLY help with the kids and unpacking.
VERY SAD to say goodbye to her. We don't say goodbye anymore.
*Moved into our new townhome. Trusted Bro John to pick it all by himself. He did a great job, I like it a lot and the scenery around is BEAUTIFUL!
*All white cabinets is a HUGE PLUS for me. Nice deck that over looks tons of trees and the front of the house over looks tons also and we watch Squirrels all day run up our tree eating plums from the tree.
*We see little Bambi's and big Bambi's all the time as we drive around our neighborhood.
*Went to the pool 3-5 days last week.
*Love having all sibs here all the time 24-7. Always a treat to have someone just drop by.
*Not sure Why I am listening to MOTAB, always makes me want to cry.
*Went to Harpers Ferry in W. Virginia. Old Civil war town.
*Walked along the C&O canal. BEAUTIFUL!
*Start Owlette camp with Alexis in the morning. She will be riding horses, rockclimbing, arts and crafts, archery, drama and socializing. I will be tending the two munchkins and socializing and getting bit by flying things!
I will post pics soon!

Too sad to reread... and oh yeah, maybe I am not private anymore!!
Well a lot has happened in a months time. Jason got a job with XO Communications in Baltimore and we are moving to MD in a week. In fact the movers are coming on Thursday to move us out. WAAHHH!! I am really sad and heartbroken to leave. Excited to live on Darnestown Rd, but horribly sad to leave mom, dad and amazing friends, clients and life in Vegas of 28 years. Whenever i think about dad and ALexis i honestly lose it. Talk about knife to the heart. They really are best friends and dad worships that little girl and has grown so close to her. Dad does so much for us it is unreal. Lately, he will go to Sam's Club as often as I need or the Beauty Supply every Wednesday. He babysits ANYTIME i need him and babysat her every Monday and Wednesday from 2-5 ever since she was a baby until i quit working. He has fed me numerous meals and has served us so selflessly. I honestly don't know what I will do without him. Dad not only is Alexis your best friend, you are my best friend and you have no idea how much i love you and admire you and will miss you coming over everyday. I am sooooooo sad to leave mom, even though her work schedule doesn't allow us to hang out during the week, day to day conversations and the babysitting on Friday nights, the late night haircuts and EVERY sunday dinner almost make it unbearable to think about leaving. Mom is always willing to help me and I have loved having her in my kids lives. I hate this. I hate this topic of leaving and i almost wish someone would just throw me really hard right now and i would land in Maryland so i wouldn't have to deal with goodbyes. Saying goodbye to my Gyno who has delivered my three babies was SOOO hard to do today. My amazing friends are taking me to dinner on Thursday and I don't want to bawl my eyes out, but i probably will. It will be hard for me to walk into the stores in Maryland and not know one single person. Honestly almost anywhere I go, I see someone that I know. that will be wierd. VERY WIERD! I am very happy to live right by Jenn, Jill, Johnny and Jayne and realize that that is SUCH a blessing. How many people all end up by ALL their siblings across the USA?? (and what kids live by all 11 of their cousins?) Mitch just got engaged and the lovely girl is also from the same neck of the woods so they will most likely end up out there too. I will miss my cousins and my Aunt Mary and our late midnight chats as well as the rest of my mom's extended family. I will miss being near Jason's amazing family in Utah. Even though they were kinda far, we still saw them quite a bit and they were ALWAYS willing to come visit and HELP wherever they were needed! That is very sad to us and Jason is very bummed about that. At least they are amazing travelers and hopefully they will always feel welcome. I love our ward. We may be the longest lasting couple in our ward right now. We have been in this ward for 9 years now, but it has split twice so we aren't with the initial group. But we have made excellent friends over the years. I have done hair for 10 years and have made lifelong friends who have followed me since talk talk, my first salon. In ten years I have worked at (in order) talk talk, Madison Taylor, Robeign, Radichi, Suite One, Vintage, Belle Cheveux and lastly home. I can honestly say I loved working at every last one of those places because the clients and coworkers made my job a blast. I love doing hair because of the relationships that were created. OH HOW I WILL MISS THESE PEOPLE!! I had to say goodbye to most of my clients when Alexis was born and i lost more when I got put on bedrest, but I really do love the friends I have made doing this and will always have the best memories. Lastly, I think Heavenly Father created Facebook and Blogs just for me, BECAUSE I don't think I will feel so far away because I will always feel connected to this life. CHecking in on all the people I care about regularly makes this change seem a little more possible. I hope it doesn't end. Hopefully Y2K won't happen in 2010 and make computers obslolete! I would be so distraught. I won't name off all the friends that I will miss, but you know who you are who mean the most to me. I have such amazing friends, some lifelong and some that I have know for only a few years, that seem like I have known them forever. They are such great friends and examples to me and I will always admire them. Anyway these are just a few of my feelings. I don't want to get to into this entry or I will just start crying and I have to much packing, but for all of you who I am leaving, I LOVE YOU and I will miss you so much and for all of you I am coming to live near I am so blessed to be in your lives everyday, until then WHERE IS THE KLEENEX????

We are MOVING!!!!!!
I have a lot on my mind lately. jason got a job back east and therefore we are outta here. Don't get me thinking about it too much or I will cry! I am so happy to literally live on the same street as Jen, Jill, John and Jayne, but I have to say goodbye to mom, dad and amazing friends and 28 years in Vegas. this will be a great new adventure, but I really can't believe this is real. Wish me luck getting it all done. thank goodness Jason has packed MOSt of my china or i would already be in the looney bin!

Finally living near all of the folks you see in the pic. (minus ma and pa, plus there are 4 more to add to this pic, and mitch won't be there yet!)

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL???
So my boys needed helmets. You would have never known by looking a Mitchell, but if you looked at Matthew you would see that the side of his head was very flat and pushed his left side of his face forward (that part you may not be able to tell). Anyway after a consultation they both qualified for the DOC bands.

These first pics are of them at the Dr. getting their 3D image. It was really cool to see how these bands are created. They used to make molds from plaster, but in the last year or two they changed that. Mitchie was fine with the nylon over his head, but Matthew had two meltdowns, i tried nursing him, giving him a Binky and then a bottle, and the bottle calmed him and it was smooth sailing from there. THey put this nylon on so that the 3d pic could be as accurate as possible with no hair in the way.
14 days later the helmets were ready to be fitted and wah-lah! My boys wear helmets. The first couple of days i was miserable for them because they SWEAT like crazy under them and it was HOT here in VEGAS! After a few days of not much wearing, i decided it was time to stick with it and they haven't been off much since. They are to be worn 23 hours a day and the one hour off is for bathing and cleaning the bands. BOY DO THEY STINK!!!!!!! Woah! There heads stink and i swear a bath doesn't even take all the stink away.

SO jason had the idea to paint them like real football helmets. I vetoed that and then had a change of heart because of Jayne and decided that it would be cuter than the regular bands. So on Saturday after a full 24 hours off there heads the masterpieces were finished! I did all of it freehand and it was hard because i was also fighting off the flu that day! I think they turned out pretty cute especially since i had no trace marks, just my old trusty hand to make straight lines, and the Y turned out pretty cute too. I am not a Camille Kingman so I didn't think i would be able to do this, but it turns out my cutting hair skills came in handy as i had to be straight and very meticulous. By the time i did the black stripe i was over it, so don't look close! The acrylic paint chips very easy on this material so i had to seal it like 3 times and i can tell it is time to do it again. These really are cute on them and they don't seem to mind them at all. We got many stares last night at Town Square and one guy finally asked "What is with the helmets, did they get separated or something?" That was really hilarious! I guess it wasn't too far fetched since today at the Dr. she showed me a pic of Egyptian twins who were conjoined at the top of the head and they wore the bands. Funny. Anyway time to pay attention to the little girl!

Getting Hotter
Well today i had hopes for cleaning. ALways my high hopes have to do with cleaning and it is NEVER all clean so i am not sure why I stress out so much! Well today i talked to Dori and John for about an hour. Checking up on baby Gabriella. She is making slow progress, but at least she is alive. that was a very scary day last Friday! Well i took our new jogger stroller out for a walk. Sadly this is probably one of the last days we can do that before it gets to darn hot. I know that MD is hot, but today jenn said the Blue bells are covering the forest floor and the pink blossoms are glittering the streets!! I long to be somewhere that looks like that. I really think that Europe has done this to me. Visiting the country side of France, England and Scotland just allowed me to set my sights very high. I NEED THAT. I want to breathe that in every day!! When she was telling me that my stomach was getting knots in it. I want that as part of my life. I imagine driving down the country roads seeing beauty like that and BLASTING my radio to Secret Garden or BELIEVE it or NOT, Motab choir. I love uplifting music when i drive. That can usually make me cry because i feel God's LOVE ALL AROUND me during times like that. One fo my best memories was driving in England with jason's family, totally zoned out listening to a kind of a somber song from Secret Garden and just dreaming. I couldn't dream enough at that moment. Then my dream came true when we landed at the COTSWOLDS. I love that place and that is our goal to live their for one year with our kids. Jason says London, I say Cotswolds. Anyway today is Friday and mom and dad can't babysit tonight, so I think that we will either have to load up the van and go eat or take out from somewhere. i feel like Sultan's Grill. Who know!
bye bye.
bye bye.
