One long recap!

Okay tis time again. I keep feeling a major pressure to get to this blog! I think it is because these kids are just so darn adorable and darling that I will regret not writing! Luckily I take videos constantly, journals are awesome, but video as proof is the ultimate. I candidly video 90% of the time with my iphone. My iphone is such a blessing because I capture TONS of their life on it!

Alexis is being so darling lately! I feel like the wheels in her brain are turning more than ever. She asks such cute questions and says such cute things. For instnace just her and I were in the car the other day when she looked up in the sky and was talking about clouds.
She kept asking if I have ever touched a cloud and could we walk on it and what does it feel like. She then asked if I have ever been on an airplane. I told her yes several times with her in fact. She said, when you were up in the airplane did you touch a cloud when the window was down?" That was so cute to me! I didn't go into detail that I am sure i would have been violently SUCKED out had i ever done that.

The other day I was making the kids toast for breakfast, Alexis never likes honey, just "white butter" after her 2nd piece she said "This time don't make it that rusty." Her first two pieces where obviously a little more burned than she likes.

The other morning I told her that in the night when i came to kiss her, her arms were through her shirt and it looked like she was wearing like a strapless dress. She said "Did you think I was Charles Ingals?' I am not sure where she came up with that one! She said because he wears his shirts like that? Was Pa a cross dresser?

Alexis said after repeatedly getting out of her bed. "when i am a mom, I am not going to act like you act!' I will cuddle all the time.
me.. really, 80 times?

her "90".

"No you will spank your kid!"

"Well, maybe I will spank em, then I will still cuddle!"

Me-"What gift would you bring to baby Jesus?"
"I would bring him 100 golds"
Me-"How would you get that much gold?"
"Hay. I would make it out of hay"

"Mom, can we have a baby sister?"
Me-"Hopefully, it depends on what Heavenly Father wants us to have."
"We can pray really really hard. And when I see that your tummy is getting big, then I will tell daddy that we need a highchair."

A few days ago i asked her to change the boys diapers and dress them. She excitedly agreed and did it perfectly. She is honestly great to have around. MOST the time she isn't harrassing them, so I actually have her help me quite a bit.
I need to have her do more to actually help me that she would like. I may have her start making their sandwiches. She would be in heaven. She is still in preschool and still most days says she doesn't want to go and that she hates it. BUT, everyday I get her she was very happy she went. She gets very shy to do things, especially in front of boys. SHe didn't want to do pushups and she cried. The student teachers made her feel better. I keep telling her she isn't shy, she just gets a little embarrased. I remind her that she gives prayers and talks in church, she has been in a ballet recital, she has been in talent shows and she has been in a horse show. She also does Owletts which is in front of her peers. I don't want her to consider herself shy. I can handle a little embarrassed. Plus, i don't want her to think she is "SHY". I would not consider her shy for two seconds! Either would her aunts! Consequences for ALexis would be taking her blankie for the day or possibly the whole night. SHE WANTS TO PLAY WITH HER COUSINS 28 HOURS a day!!! See that, 24 hours isn't even enough. You will MAKE her day to allow her to play with her cousins. I wish her and James had the same connection but for some reason their relationship is QUITE volitile! Kelly and I don't quite understand it. But, since we are neighbors now, hopefully they will really start to be happy and get along!

My buddies...
Where do I begin? I think all my posts sound the same, and this is because I think i have struck it rich with these twins! I can't believe just how amazing it is. I really think that all kids should come in pairs, because to watch these two all day is the most precious, sweet thing to me. I feel like my workload is getting easier because they are more independent. I don't have to really worry if they are in their chairs eating if I run upstairs to finish getting ready. I don't stress if they are up in their room for a long period of time. I don't stress with them walking down the cement steps in front of our house. they are pretty capable now to do most things! They LOVE to get out and go most places.
THey are generally very easy and mild-mannered. It is hard to toot your kids horn knowing that others see you struggle and often whine as to how hard days are. The key word is DAYS. Not everyday, some days. When Mitchie was in his crying/whining nonstop phase that was a HARD. I just thanked Mitchell today while i was changing him for not crying like he used too. I am not sure why that stopped , but ALAS, it has!! I will blame it on winter blues, i felt like crying/whining a lot too! THEY LOVE to get out! Oh boy, that is their favorite word to hear! "do you wanna go?" Matty runs around saying "naynay" which means blankie. We don't leave home without it! Mitchie starts hoppin, jumpin as if to say "heck yeah, oh yeah!" (Alexis ALWAYS said that at this age, THOSE TWO ARE ALMOST IDENTICAL in personalities!!!)

Then he will act really cool like he is about to watch a Nascar race. They both start saying "shooooes, shock". They insist on walking to the car by themselves. Matthew is VERY easy going and half way down i can swoop him up and he obliges. Mitchell?, a no go. He has to do it, and may I add VERY slowly. Mitchell is the caboose, especially on walks. He hangs behind and walks very slowly to his own pace. He doesn't want to stay up with the rest of us. He is checking things out his way. If I tell Matt, "if you don't keep walking, I will..." he will walk. Mitchie will say "NO" and almost go slower.

There are mornings that Matthew will come in my room and cheerfully say "hi momma" and crawl up into my bed and hug and cuddle me for 30 minutes straight. Yesterday he felt a 'LITTLE' under the weather and laid their happy for an hour. He loves to cuddle and will do it whenever you ask. He lets Lex cuddle too. He loves daddy and really wants to lay by him too. Today i was smothering him in kisses and he let me.
When i told Mitchie to give him a kiss he did and Matty said "YUCK!" I tested it twice. Both times got the same response! i think that will ease Jason's mind in regarding his future taste in women! A couple months ago when we were driving on a less appealing street near our new street, I asked Matty, "do you like our new neighborhood?" He looked out the window and said "yuck, yuck yuck" every two or three houses. IT WAS hilarious. My mom and i laughed uncontrollably becuase truly he had sensed that the houses were a little on the unattactive side. It was really funny. He is very kind hearted and sweet. He LOVES Nay-AHL-MEE so much. They really click. They don't have issues unlike Naomi and Mitchell. That is a difference for sure. Naomi tells Mitchie to go away and may push him, then to retaliate, he just antogonizes and bugs. Again, just like is big sis! The boys love going to music class. they often jump around and do what the song calls for. Other times they will just sit on my lap and observe the class. After class, they run down the halls, get a drink and go upstairs for more running. They love being social, BIG TIME! I started Co op our here and they have gone about 5 times now. They are very happy to go, but when Mitchell sees me drive off he cries for a bit. He is still a momma's boy!I love it! That boy likes me a lot! His gappy smile is still so sweet to me. He smiles pretty much 24 hours a day. He is always happy (unless he has decided not to be).
He lets me kiss him tons and tries to say a lot of things. "I YUB YOU!" is one of the cutest things he says. We do lots of dancing around here. It changes the mood and makes everyone happy! All three like me to hold them while I dance, but my back can't take it for too long. Matty goes nuts and really moves, dancing in a circle with the same right foot always leading. Mitchell hops and jumps with rythem and shakes his arms. He has good rythem. I have taught them to 'raise the roof'. The other day a loud song came on in the car and in the mirror I could see Matt was RAISING THE ROOF very vigorously! They have such blonde hair and Mitchell's is quite curly. They are both so handsome to me. Matty is more handsome, and looks like a little Brad Pitt. Mitchell is more soft and cherubic with rosy cheeks.
To say I am in LOVE is a huge understatement. They make having more twins VERY tempting, but i think it would put me in the grave with that amount of work the first two years! But, it makes me think, hmmm maybe I could.

I asked Alexis if she loves her brothers and why she said because they are cute and darling and sweet.

I asked her if she wants more twins she said "No, I just want a sister. I hate just one sister in the house." I hope she gets that too!

Jason is well "ish". He had a hard go this fall. He had a lot of sick days of feeling horrible dizziness and lightheadedness. He had several panic attacks and felt like he was having a heart attack often. I had never seen him like this EVER and it was very scary. I didn't know what was going on, but I didn't feel he was dying on me, but I didn't know what to think. He was VERY scared becuase he didn't know what the heck was giving him these horrible symptoms. In the end, we think it was mainly thyroid issues, and possibly stopping a hormone based drug he had been taking the last two years. He is much better now, but still doesn't feel like himself. He is eating Gluten Free and thinks that it is helping him. His commute of an hour and half at night BITES BAD!!!!!!! I really hate it for him, me and the kids.

I am busy. We just moved a month ago next door to John and Kelley. Since our shortsell and moving out East we have been renting. We were paying top dollar to rent a nice townhome. We hated seeing that much money go down the drain each month so we found a town home that we really updated and made great. I actually prefer it to the other one and we are saving A LOT of mula each month! It was worth the headache, but now I am still unpacking and trying to figure out how I want to decorate this place. It is in such a great location, near everything i love. Very happy we found this place.

Mom and dad basically moved on in for about three months! it was awesome!! They had been here in MD for a lot of fall and ALL of winter. They thought they would move in and help me pack up to move and renovate the new place. HELP is an understatement! We could not have done it without them. It was awesome! They were probably so relieved to get out of my loud crazy household, but it was so wonderful to have them in our house. It actually felt normal, like the old days when we lived in Vegas. It made me miss the life we had together. Even though we never lived with them, they were SOOO apart of our lives that it felt so great. I REALLY miss not having them in our everyday lives. Like, really really miss them. Makes me cry to think about it. :(

Okay, I think this is enough recap for now. SO HAPPY SPRING IS ARRIVING! I feel like I had depression a bit. THis winter seemed hecka long! Being trapped indoors packing up a house and renovating another was quite tedious.

If someone please actually read this whole long post, please say I. I would be fascinated!

Oh the boys prayers, are the highlight of my day!! I will try and update a video.

Save the best for last!!!

Save the best for last! ( i really do love them all equally!) Love my little Alexis girl! Where do I begin? Well most the time she is a little helpful angel and for that I am quite greatful for the extra set of hands to help me all day long. Actually all day long isn't accurate now that she is in preschool Monday- Thursday 8:30-12:15. I am so happy to see her go in the morning becuase a lot of my guilt of being consumed with toddlers goes away as she is off learning, playing and growing her confidence in school. I think she is the oldest in her class and for that I am very happy! I really want her to be the oldest in her peer group so that she will be a leader and have less chance to be a follower. She is such a sweet darling girl and she lets me kiss her still a ton!!! She is a very girly girl! She likes details like necklaces, bows and cute things. She will tell me I look cute and compliment people on how they look! I think it is cute that she notices details like that. I try not to put to much emphasis on looks though, becuase i don't want her to think that that is what matters.

ALexis is probably one of the most social butterfly's i have ever known. I mean this girl would/could play for 72 hours with out a break!! She loves to be with her friends, but friends are NO MATCH to her cousins!! If i really really want to make her day, i say "do you want to go to Carolines?" or do you want to call over Camille? She just get a beaming smile and then blows it off like "okay, but when are they coming over?" She tries to contain her excitement, but i can tell i just made her day! I love that about her!
She really enjoys making necklaces and bracelets for people. SHe has made a lot for friends who have been sick, or grandpa with his broken foot. She made them for her cousins who started kindergarten and for Addison. She has a sweet tender heart and still prays for Sunny and baby Diana MANY months after there trials! Everyday after school ALL she wants to do is come home and watch Little House on the Prairie. The best part about that is that I get to have a nap next to her on the couch! Awesome! A couple weeks ago the episode was about a little girl with a stuttering problem. Nellie was making horrible fun of the child and I looked over at Alexis and she was just FIGHTING back the tears. I pretended not to see so that she wouldn't be embarrased and try to hide her emotion the next time. I loved to see her feel that and it made me realize again that she is growing up and understands these emotions.
She is Such a great helper! Honestly this girl should get paid! She runs around this house all day helping me out~ She really cares about the twins so much and wants to help them. Often i correct her or yell at her prematurely not realizing that she was really trying to help a situation rather than cause a problem. Don't worry, i feel a lot of guilt over it daily!!

She loves to be held and kissed still and I loved that and still do it A LOT! However in the morning she DOESN'T go near us, becuase she thinks we smell! She has been clearing the kid dishes and rinsing them and putting them in the dishwasher. She loves to have little jobs like this. She takes great pride it in. She doesn't like to do the typical make your bed, clean your room job so much, but the other jobs I find her that are like real MOM jobs she really likes. She LOVES to help me cook or bake, which unfortunately doesn't happen enough! At night she still requests that we sing her two or three songs consisting of Cherries are ripe, hush little baby, tender shepherd or Coldplay.

She loves to have showers and baths!! She hangs out in the shower for up to a half hour at times! She loves when all three of them have a shower together! They really have a grand old time! One of her best friends is Addison next door! they really play GREAT! They play outside quite often and mostly play in their house becuase his mom is awesome and has like amazing crafts always going! I am quite unorganized and overwhelmed and they are ready to learn and get dirty at their house! I am VERY greatful for the neighbors and how great they treat her!!! SHe loves them and so do we! Often Papa neighbor will take her to Addison's karate class and she will observe the class. Sometimes she likes it sometimes she doesn't! She loves to ride her bike outside and go on walks! She still loves her stuffed animals and blankie! She is also a VERY silly girl and I love that about her!! I sure love my baby girl and am truly the most blessed mom in the world!!

IN LOVE.

Mild Mannered Matty.

Well on to baby A. Matthew, or Matty or Matt. I like to call him my baby boyfriend. He is the most handsome little boy in the world! I feel like he is a little boy not a baby. He has just the sweetest disposition. He can, MOST OF THE TIME, just go with the flow. This is not to say that he hasn't thrown a FEW MAJOR half hour tantrums, but next to our little whiney lovey he just usually sits back and relaxes as he observes his parents frustration grow and grow with his little sidekick. See we thought Mitchie was all innocent didn't we!

He is this way most of the time. When Matthew was a newborn even up until now, if he is in his bed and wants something like a bottle persay, his lungs are in 100% working order. It is the LOUDEST most abrasive sound on earth, or at least in a VERY quiet as a mouse house it is. There isn't really any ignoring going on because he will wake up the whole house. Now he will say dadda, or mamma, or nay nay (blankie) or bobba over and over until he sees you caved. When you do go in you are never mad, because he is so gosh darn loveable and sweet that you are just so happy to be snuggling his heavy little big boy body.

This is the boy who will be on the couch and will pat the couch for you to take a seat next to him. He will usually sit on you or right next to your for up to 15 minutes very content. WE ALL LOVE THIS!!! He will kiss you whenever you ask. He knows really well that I will always ask for a kiss when he wants something from me. He loves shoes and books and loves to be read too. He loves to run down hills, something I hate because I am always terrified he will bash his teeth out!

He likes to sing songs and loves to cuddle. HE IS OBSESSED WITH HIS naynay (blankie). He wants it A LOT and often I will watch him as he disappears upstairs to his bedroom floor just to snuggle with it. OH I LOVE WHEN I SEE THAT! I don't love when he demands to take in with us when we leave ANYWHERE! I WOULD NEVER EVER deny him on a long trip (15 minutes or more!!) or that would be all I would here the whole time. "nay nay, nay nay, nay nay, nay nay!"

He has the most beautiful white hair i have ever seen! Some kids are almost weirdly white, well his is just perfect! I LOVE THAT I HAVE a real towhead!!
I think he gets it from him.

This kid will one day be responsible for an ulcer that I WILL get! He does some dangerous scary crap!! He jumps off anything onto his butt. His FAVORITE thing to do right now is get out of the bath and dive back in while the other two are still in there. He will do this as fast as he can over and over again. It about gives me a heartattack each time he does it, but it does not stop him!

I have never known a little 22 monther say thank you as much as this little guy. It actually sounds more like "dutuh" (butsayitreallyfast) and he uses it in the right context over and over throughout the day. Again, i LOVE THIS! He is a peacemaker. If Mitchie is sad or mad Matty will often share his toy or just give it to him. That is really true. He really acts selfless when someone else wants his thing. It really shocks me that he does it so often.

Okay, well that is Matthew. I LOVE THIS KID SO MUCH!! He is the sweetest little thing ever. I sometimes look at him strangely like he doesn't seem like he came from me. Maybe it is becuase he doesn't resemble me at all, but I feel like I have to earn his respect a little. Maybe it is because I haven't had a kid who REALLY prefers his daddy at any given time. So i feel like I have to ask permission to "sit by him on the school bus" does that make sense?

Two words though. IN LOVE.

Mitchell on the MIND

Mitchell has my heart.

I honestly had no idea that I would be truly madly in love with my boys. It is hard to admit now that when the Dr told me I was having twin boys I was a little sad that at least one was not a girl. I kind of felt that way until I met them.

Tonight my post will be on Mitchie or Mitch or Mitchell.

THis boy is so darling I can hardly stand it. I ADORE the gap in his cute white teeth. I ADORE those curls. It is so hard to cut them until I see his hair short and realize he is just as stinkin cute, just a little more grown up!

He is my little sidekick. He wants me AT ALL TIMES and anyone who knows him knows that fact to be SURE. As hard as it is at times, I love that that little boy is my shadow and he wants me in his sight at all times. If I walk out of the room the wailing starts until he finds me.

Mitchell squeals with delight when I see him in the morning. He will dive onto his crib with pure excitement as if to say "Yeah were together!"
He won't, almost refuses, to go downstairs by himself if I am in his view. He must be carried by me. That causes a chain reaction and then matthew expects it too. So, yes, SO VERY OFTEN you will find me lugging both of them up and down the stairs at the same time. That is a hefty 50lbs several times a day.

So as much as this boy whines, which he does quite often, he is also VERY independant and likes to do his own thing. He will be the caboose on our walks just strolling along looking and exploring at his own pace.
He thinks he older than he really is. He is most content trying to sneak his way onto chairs or into the office desk drawer. He has to have things his own way and heaven forbid it isn't he will throw a MAD fit! Lately what seems to work is saying "okay mitchie let's go sit in your crib until you can stop crying". 99% of the time the second i set him in there he is done crying. So i walk out of the room and usually walk right back into a happy smiley child. I say "are you done" He will nod yes and then stand up ready to leave his time out. Totally unaffected by the previous 1o minutes of pure tantrum. Hilarious. In fact he usually remains in a semi state of being frozen. He stays in the same position holding on to a crib rail until I reach to get him.
Mitchie will very willingly give and offer kisses. His kisses are just a perfect kiss. He will even hold your face to kiss you. The other day he hurt Matty. I told him to give him a kiss and he softly put both hands on Matthews cheeks and softly kissed his open mouth. I honestly can say my heart melted at that moment. If i had a video camera I can be sure it would be all over you tube becuase it was SOO sweet and sincere.

Lastly, Mitchie is one perceptive little chap. WITHOUT fail if I offer Mitchell two crackers one to eat and one to give to give matthew, he sneakily eyes them both up and down and will ALWAYS pick the bigger one. I have tested this one over and over again and 90% of the time he picks the one that is even slightly bigger. I can't believe he notices it so clearly. If he has a cup of water and Matty wants one too Mitchie will give his half drinken cup to matthew and BE SURE to get the new and improved one. WITHOUT FAIL! It is actually hilarious to see this side of him because i totally know where he gets it. ME, his selfish momma!

IN a nutshell this boy is my sunshine and I could and DO kiss his sweet ANGELIC face over and over daily. Probably 100+ times a day!

He is always smiling! He loves to dance and has quite good rythm. He will stay as limp as a newborn if I cradle him while slow or fast dancing with him.
