MY DAD

So, many of us do our banking online, right? That way we can see what checks have cleared, check our balance etc......

My dad still won't get a checkcard.
this is the back of the card with future check numbers on it.
ANOTHER DAD THING...
So we have cell phones that we store our phone numbers in, and when we are done we simply press the delete button and delete the number.

Well this is how dad does it. He has pages of pages of this old checkbook register and he knows exactly where each number is. Pure madness. Dad calls this his "palm pilot"
I could probably find my old address from college 9 years ago scratched out in here somewhere
So even though he hasn't given in to these fancy technilogical toys, he does have one addiction.
HIS CELL PHONE!
He calls all his kids multiple times a day just to check things out, (or just to use his phone) If you say something that he doesn't like then he starts pushing the keys over and over until you want to go crazy and then asks if we got the "text message"
Our dad is kind of a freakazoid, but the best, sweetest, funniest, kindest FREAKAZOID in the world.
He does, however, know how to email now.
He deserves this tribute today because he has taken Alexis and has let me have the morning off.

K, that is hilarious! I think our dads are sooooo much alike! My dad has a little hand written laminated card he carries in his wallet with all our numbers on it. AND he only uses cash, no ccs, no dcs and no checks. What's with our dads and their antics?!
That is the funniest/cutest thing I've ever seen!! He goes straight to the top for taking the little one though!!
I love your dad! That is too funny. :) I especially love the flower-in-the-hair picture with the soft fuzzy finish - very pretty!
I am laughing OUT LOUD right now! You captured him. I swear he is ONE OF A KIND!!! I love dad--he cracks me up like no one else.
Cute post...I really loved it. How endearing!!!
ok. i have 2 things to say. #1 if i ever need a phone number i'll just click on the picture of your dad's palm piolt. there are a lot of numbers on there that might come in handy one day. #2 i'll never forget the time, like ten years ago, your parents wrote me a check for my birthday or graduation or something and i didn't cash it right away. i get a message from your dad wondering if i would please cash that check soon. it was like killing him to cross my check number off his index card. haha. he's so funny!
i love mr. miller.... he is too darn awesome.
that is too funny! My dad is the same way, pocket book and all
