JUST A MOMENT AGO, Alexis got out of her crib and said " I woke up". Then I said it was time for bed. SHe said "apple juice helps feel better".(her classic statement) AS i was ignoring her she went down stairs looking for Jason. She went to the front door with her plastic high heels and dark sunglasses and started to open the door to the pitch dark night. I said "don't you dare open that door!" There could be a mean person out there" Her reply was "look for cars both ways!" Then i went downstairs and we went outside to wait for jason and the dog. She was screaming his name loud in the nieghborhood saying " dad. dad, where are you?" When he finally got home, they went on a walk to the mailbox. We are pushovers!
I am starting to actually want to use this blog as a journal so if i start boring you with my toddler stories then lo siento!

My little lady!
Should I feel guilty if...
She VIGORIOSLY wipes off MOST of my kisses?
I am going shopping for Tobasco Sauce tomorrow for biting?
But, besides that...
She is the cutest, sweetest thing in the world right now, but she is a little defiant lately.
Her sweetest side is always saying...
"It's a beautiful day mom"
"This is delicious!"
" I am daddy's pripriss(princess), and mommy's little girah"(girl)
As of yesterday she discovered the escaping the crib thing. So bright and early at 6:30 am this morning we are awoken to " Hi Daddy, I climbed out of my crib!"
Luckily she still buys the " It is still bedtime and you have to go to back to bed in one minute".
She says okay and goes back to sleep until 8:30. Happens EVERYTIME. The funny thing is that our house is as bright as the noon day sun at 6:30 and she still buys it.
I thought she said "why" a lot two months ago. I didn't know that word would only get used more and more and more each day.
When she wants to get out of her car seat and drive while we are waiting for daddy to come back to the car she will say...
A- "I wanna drive"
Me- "No daddy will be right back"
A- "WHy?"
me- "He is pumping the gas, and he is almost done, so no."
A- (tilting her head down to negotiate) "One mo Second?"
me- "no, he is almost done."
A- "last time, last second, last more"
Me- "Look, he is done"
A- " Last time, one minute"
Dad, enter's car.
A-"Daddy, I want to drive"
When we get home he usually lets her sit on his lap and drive to the mailbox and back.

Everyone's kid is cutest in the morning I hear. Oh boy, she is. I could eat her alive in the morning. The other day i walked in her room and her first words were "key's?" I said "the key's?" She then said " I wanna drive."
I am not sure about her obsession with driving.
Every morning we ask her what she dreamt about and without fail it is "Giraffe's" Not sure where she came up with that.
The most classic with her right now is "NO GRANDPA" As harsh and loud as she can get. He can't help but bust up. He says that she has a timer and after one hour of adorable, she starts throwing punches at him, or throwing rocks at him. She sure does love him though.
When he babysits twice a week, the first thing he does is fill her sippy cup up with loads of ice, puts applejuice in it and he holds and kisses on her for all of Dora and Blues Clues! He loves it!!
I think he was a little traumatized that I spanked her bum today. Sorry pops, but I survived it!
SHe is now saying her prayers...

So i thought i would back up a bit and post about Easter. WHy, mainly because i made Cupcakes. Something i never do. I thought it should be documented. yes i copied the peep idea.
I also thought Alexis has been so cute lately, so i thought i would show her to the world ( just for a couple days)dazed and confused

jason set the Easter table, not bad for being LOW KEY and no knives!
We had a fun Easter Egg hunt at the park with our ward.Jenn suggested the book Fancy Nancy, and now Alexis is obsessed. So we dressed her up as Fancy Nancy one day
Tonight jason was gone so Alexis and i decided to have a spa night. I gave her a facial, a massage, a manicure and pedicure and then we attempted to watch a movie, by that point she was OVER spa day. I don't think she was digging being called "mam".

My men!
Well, okay. Since the only person who really cares if i update is Jen then I see it is only right to pay tribute to her husband over something he did that was VERY nice over 10 years ago. On Jayne's blog i commented on how her husband was my favorite at the moment because he very willingly put up a chair rail in our family room and our master bathroom. Well then Jen reminded me why her husband should be my favorite and then I felt I couldn't go without giving Nick the "honorable mention" award. Here is the story....
In 1996 i lived in Provo, Utah where I was studying boys. One such crush was a guy named Mike, I think, and he worked at Wilson Leather in the University Mall. There was a huge sale one night that allowed "employee's friends and family" discounts. Big discounts. Well, if you know my sister Jen she is SOMETIMES in the "buying" and hmm, hmm, "needing" mode. Well she had mentioned to me that she "seriously" needed a leather jacket. Well the night of the sale i went in there with no money, but came out loving this certain jacket. At the same time, i saw one that I knew Jen would LOVE!!!! Instead of thinking of how I wanted my jacket, but knew that i had ZERO money, i secretly called up Nick and said "Nick, there is this jacket that i know Jen would love, I think you should send me $120.00 bucks and I will go get it for her, from you? He laughed and said, " That girls does not need another leather jacket, no way."(something like that... we're talking 96'). So I said "Okay, you're probably right" and hung up. Well low and behold, if it wasn't probably 3 days later, i get an envelope in the mail from Nick with $250 buckaroo's in it. He enclosed a letter and told me to get Jen's and to get myself the one I wanted too. Can you believe that? Does your Bro in law send you $150 to get a leather jacket? I already loved nick at that point, but my love grew a ton that day. In fact, one of those boys i used to study, dumped me because I talked about Nick too much! I think Jayne had one of them too. Anyway, Nick you are awesome. Sorry John Layne, you might need to give me a chairrail in my bedroom now to top that!
I am so bummed, because i found the perfect picture of my jacket, but our scanner isn't plugged in! These will get the point across of the male's in my life

Oh well, we will try again. I might as well post this since I know many of you are wondering!! We are bummed, but my bum wants more shots, and my body wants to give more blood and my hormones need more raging, and I am a pro at getting naked waist down, so why not just do it all again!! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers! I was really sad at first, but honestly if it means we get to spend more alone time with our adorable little Alexis then how could we possibly complain!

High on Hormones
I Think I am HIGH right now. If any of you could just be me right now then you would be VERY jealous. I don't know what real drugs feel like, but I am feeling REALLY good right now. I am so drowsy and delerious right now from all my meds that I DO NOT KNOW HOW I am typing right now. Truly, I will have to hold on to the wall when walking to my room to go to sleep in a minute. Progesterone/Estrogen overload. Maybe menopause will be this fun? I am wearing Estrogen patches, injecting Progesterone, taking 8 progesterone pills and 6 estrogen pills a day. I hope that when I get some disease one day from all these meds you will all visit me. GOodNigHT...blah blah blah, snore......
A NEW WEEKNESS TO MAKE ME ADD 10 lbs to my butt.
Today a client slapped my butt and said that basically I got some junk in my trunk. i think i know why. Miniature Dove Chocolate Bars. I have had about 10 in the last two days.
Paranoid and worried!!
Well because of all the pervs in the world I have decided to remove MOST of the pictures of my favorite thing in the world. My child will only make occasional appearances because I am paranoid plus my cousin installed site meter and saw that she had over 7oo hits on her blog and she could see that people on other continents were looking at her blog often and only looking at the pictures of her boys at the beach and pool. Yuck, and scary! If a hacker can hack into bank accounts and federal government agencies, then if he wanted to, he could probably hack into our private blogs as well. I think maybe the WORLD WIDE WEB isn't the best place to share our favorite faces. I will probably post a cute picture of Alexis for a day or two and then delete it. Am i too paranoid or what do you think?????
I guess I will just have to post pictures of other peoples kids...

My DAD...
MY DAD
So, many of us do our banking online, right? That way we can see what checks have cleared, check our balance etc......
Well this is how my pops does his banking, in addition to calling his "girlfriend" the bank automated operater, He likes to know precisely what his account is up to all times. So he gets an index card and rights down all the check numbers that his checkbooks hold. Then when he rights a check he writes down the amount next to the check number and scratches the check number and amount out when it has cleared.My dad still won't get a checkcard.

So we have cell phones that we store our phone numbers in, and when we are done we simply press the delete button and delete the number.

Well this is how dad does it. He has pages of pages of this old checkbook register and he knows exactly where each number is. Pure madness. Dad calls this his "palm pilot"

So even though he hasn't given in to these fancy technilogical toys, he does have one addiction.
HIS CELL PHONE!
He calls all his kids multiple times a day just to check things out, (or just to use his phone) If you say something that he doesn't like then he starts pushing the keys over and over until you want to go crazy and then asks if we got the "text message"
Our dad is kind of a freakazoid, but the best, sweetest, funniest, kindest FREAKAZOID in the world.
He does, however, know how to email now.
He deserves this tribute today because he has taken Alexis and has let me have the morning off.
