Are you ready for some FOOTBALL???

So my boys needed helmets. You would have never known by looking a Mitchell, but if you looked at Matthew you would see that the side of his head was very flat and pushed his left side of his face forward (that part you may not be able to tell). Anyway after a consultation they both qualified for the DOC bands.

These first pics are of them at the Dr. getting their 3D image. It was really cool to see how these bands are created. They used to make molds from plaster, but in the last year or two they changed that. Mitchie was fine with the nylon over his head, but Matthew had two meltdowns, i tried nursing him, giving him a Binky and then a bottle, and the bottle calmed him and it was smooth sailing from there. THey put this nylon on so that the 3d pic could be as accurate as possible with no hair in the way.14 days later the helmets were ready to be fitted and wah-lah! My boys wear helmets. The first couple of days i was miserable for them because they SWEAT like crazy under them and it was HOT here in VEGAS! After a few days of not much wearing, i decided it was time to stick with it and they haven't been off much since. They are to be worn 23 hours a day and the one hour off is for bathing and cleaning the bands. BOY DO THEY STINK!!!!!!! Woah! There heads stink and i swear a bath doesn't even take all the stink away.

SO jason had the idea to paint them like real football helmets. I vetoed that and then had a change of heart because of Jayne and decided that it would be cuter than the regular bands. So on Saturday after a full 24 hours off there heads the masterpieces were finished! I did all of it freehand and it was hard because i was also fighting off the flu that day! I think they turned out pretty cute especially since i had no trace marks, just my old trusty hand to make straight lines, and the Y turned out pretty cute too. I am not a Camille Kingman so I didn't think i would be able to do this, but it turns out my cutting hair skills came in handy as i had to be straight and very meticulous. By the time i did the black stripe i was over it, so don't look close! The acrylic paint chips very easy on this material so i had to seal it like 3 times and i can tell it is time to do it again. These really are cute on them and they don't seem to mind them at all. We got many stares last night at Town Square and one guy finally asked "What is with the helmets, did they get separated or something?" That was really hilarious! I guess it wasn't too far fetched since today at the Dr. she showed me a pic of Egyptian twins who were conjoined at the top of the head and they wore the bands. Funny. Anyway time to pay attention to the little girl!

UPDATE!!

So here they are in their double stroller that they love once it starts moving.

Mitchie looking up at me

Mitchie loving his carrots, the kid will eat anything you put in front of him. He consistantly drinks 6 oz while Matthew the BIGGER one only eats 4 oz. He is the most charming baby, when he smiles you want to cry it is so sweet.

ALexis and her best friend, CAMPAH! Going out on one of their outings to "MAY'S"

These pics above are of Matty. He is the happiest, laughiest baby ever and has a permagrin. He belly laughs ALL the time. LOVE HIM!!!!!

Laying on the back lawn one pretty night, those nights are OVER now!

This is Alexis in our backyard smelling flowers. SHe has become quite the ladybug and rollypolly hunter. She is out there for hours playing with Sunny. SHE mimics the things i say to the boys all day long and still helps me almost everytime she is asked. She isn't always the best obeyer or sleeper, but her other qualities make up for that. She is so sweet and kissable!

Getting Hotter

Well today i had hopes for cleaning. ALways my high hopes have to do with cleaning and it is NEVER all clean so i am not sure why I stress out so much! Well today i talked to Dori and John for about an hour. Checking up on baby Gabriella. She is making slow progress, but at least she is alive. that was a very scary day last Friday! Well i took our new jogger stroller out for a walk. Sadly this is probably one of the last days we can do that before it gets to darn hot. I know that MD is hot, but today jenn said the Blue bells are covering the forest floor and the pink blossoms are glittering the streets!! I long to be somewhere that looks like that. I really think that Europe has done this to me. Visiting the country side of France, England and Scotland just allowed me to set my sights very high. I NEED THAT. I want to breathe that in every day!! When she was telling me that my stomach was getting knots in it. I want that as part of my life. I imagine driving down the country roads seeing beauty like that and BLASTING my radio to Secret Garden or BELIEVE it or NOT, Motab choir. I love uplifting music when i drive. That can usually make me cry because i feel God's LOVE ALL AROUND me during times like that. One fo my best memories was driving in England with jason's family, totally zoned out listening to a kind of a somber song from Secret Garden and just dreaming. I couldn't dream enough at that moment. Then my dream came true when we landed at the COTSWOLDS. I love that place and that is our goal to live their for one year with our kids. Jason says London, I say Cotswolds. Anyway today is Friday and mom and dad can't babysit tonight, so I think that we will either have to load up the van and go eat or take out from somewhere. i feel like Sultan's Grill. Who know!
bye bye.

Baby Gabriella Brooke

Well, My darling sister in law Ashley had her first baby yesterday around 5pm. Baby Gabriella Brooke was born weighing over 7lbs. Everything was going just great until this morning. Her lungs started causing her MAJOR problems. Now sweet Gabriella is truly fighting to stay alive. This has been a horrifying scary day and they are really needing your prayers. Please pray for her and her sweet parents. Ash also had a c-section and can't leave her hospital but the baby has been transfered to a different hospital. I have been there sort of. Having Alexis three months early and having NO CLUE about her future is almost more than one can bare. I can't imagine what this poor mom and dad are really going through. PLEASE keep them in your thoughts and prayers. I will update soon.

sorry about the micro size pics.

Going private!!!!!!!!

Back to going private.  I think you should all go to Oprah.com and watch the show from yesterday.  Dangerous, sick world and we shouldn't risk dangering our kids.

Online Safety Tips for Parents

Rob Nickel is a former police sergeant who worked undercover for the Ontario, Canada, police to catch hundreds of online predators. He now trains police and parents to do the same.

1. It can happen to anyone.

Rob stresses that even straight-A students who never get into trouble can fall victim to a child predator. "They're kids; they trust everybody," Robs says. Teaching your kids street smarts is essential. "I talk to a lot of small communities, and I try to get that across."

2. Predators will build a bond.

Rob says child predators treat sexual assaults as a job. "They have one goal, and the biggest accomplishment you can have is that sexual encounter with a child," he says. "And the grooming process—it's so easy to build a bond online. You have to understand, most of our communication, 93 percent, is what I'm doing with my hands right now, my voice inflexion. When all you have to judge somebody by is text, it's very easy to build a bond."

Predators are also patient, and Rob says they will go through great lengths to find a child. "It happens anywhere, and as you've seen, they don't mind traveling. In fact, they don't care if it takes a year to build a bond with kids."

3. Don't share pictures of your child over the Internet.

"Number one, you won't find my children on the Internet," Rob says. "A lot of parents will put their kids as infants. Well, I've done so many search warrants where we seize pictures people have downloaded off the Internet of infants and 2- and 3-year-olds for sexual gratification. I would never put my children on the Internet."

If you want to share pictures with your family and friends on social networking sites such as Facebook, Rob says to make sure your security settings are set so that only your friends can view the images. " A lot of people leave it wide open for the whole world to see, and that's probably one of the biggest mistakes. Most social networking sites out there will have security features in place under the privacy setting."

4. Install safety software

Feel for me and read the WHOLE thing.

Well you know when you are just so happy that a certain week of your life is over, done with and hopefully will not be revisiting any time too soon??? Well that was this week. Monday morning I woke up with the FLU! Well, i was miserable, but knew that that didn't matter i had a household to run. Well probably being a mom and not being able to fall asleep prolonged my getting better! Wednesday morning it hit me the worst, and as Jason said goodbye to me i honestly thought " i truly do not know how i am going to get out of this bed and move one foot in front of the other. Well, that is when i heard two little chirps on the monitor becknoning their mama for food. So, i knew it was time. Alexis was already at my bed asking me to turn Dora on, and get her juice. I stood up and I do not know how i did not faint right then and there. I really thought i better haul it the nearest phone so i have someone on the line in case i pass out. So i grab the phone and tell jason he MUST come right home, and in all seriousness said that he absolutely could not miss this meeting. He called my dad to come immediately. My dad got there within in probably 13 minutes and he really took over. AS i was talking to Jason i was throwing up in the sink and my whole body was tingling. Not cold chills, tingles. My face and lips were white. I felt HORRID! I sat on the couch and just ignored the wails, that changed from chirps! I was searching for numbers of friends in my head who would be willing to come and take the babies for me to their house because i KNEW i had no way to do it at that moment. I kinda panicked. Well for some reason after like 5 minutes of sitting on the couch, i was able to stand up and make bottles to go rescue my baby boyfriends. I sat on my bed in my garms feeding them, as dad comes up the stairs and asks "Are you decent?" I grabbed a pillow and hid behind it. He sat down and offered to do whatever i needed. I got to lay them back down shortly after and he went downstairs with his "best friend" and kept serving me juice and oatmeal. I slept for a couple hours and Jason got home. Honestly, what would i do without my dad???? I would be really sad, and hungry!!!! What would Alexis do without my dad? Probably be really bored and hungry! Later that day, i actually started turning a corner. I now believe the old adage, "it has to get worse before it gets better". Later that day, jason said he felt like crap so he found out he now had a fever and had it until yesterday. today he has felt a little better. The hard part is that i REALLY needed some recoup time, but that didn't happen. All day i have needed a real nap, not a 30 minuter, but kids didn't quite see the same need for me. THANKFULLY, mom and dad came over last night and helped me do the dishes that were there since probably Tuesday morning. Mom bathed all the kids and fed them and "GOODNIGHT TO THEM"!. Honestly, I will say this, and Jason ALWAYS says this "Your parents are the most selfless people i have ever met, they are ALWAYS doing stuff for others". It is true, it is so true, that they NEVER even get a night to themselves with their callings and such and they Always come babysit for us to go out on Friday nights. Mom and dad, you ROCK!! Dad also took Alexis the whole day on Wednesday until 7 p.m.
Alexis had this bug for like 24 houra, however i think she is still battling a little bit everyday. I just don't want the boys to get it. Matthew needs a helmet, BADLY! I had an appointment everyday this week and every morning i called to cancel it. Even today. Literally, i can't believe that office kept rescheduling me.
ON A SIDE NOTE... If CPS saw my bedroom, all children would be promptly removed by sunrise! At least i know my parents would take them long enough for me to clean it! So, cabin fever is really at its peak right now. Jason and I are really irritable with each other, he left to get food and i told him i didn't care if he went and saw 5o movies, i told him he was causing me more stress, becuase he was so stressed. Then i took alexis to get some pizza. Is it really conference weekend? Really, i don't know? if it is watch out neighbors becuase it might get really loud over here! We are always talking about needing to give each other one hour a night to unwind and have NO interruptions and on Saturdays too. We never do it. Honestly, having twins really isn't that hard, it is just busy, and a little busy body three year old who wants to play makes it more busy. I WOULD NEVER TRADE THIS IN A MILLION YEARS, just so you all know!
Well I will say this. I deserve to brag a little. This is MY blog. I now weigh 5 lbs less than what i did when I started my pregnancy, and I haven't worked out once. I say this because i want you to know it is due to ONE THING. STAIRS. I must go up and down my stairs 200 times a day. I am sure you all probably do the same thing, but i really think that my unorganized life makes me do double the trips you do. I go up and down stairs so often that my legs don't hurt they are just soooooo tired, it's like they are saying "hey remember us, give us a break(no pun intended), shave us, tan us, at least put some lotion on us." Now that i am writing this, what i should do is put some leg weights on and then i would probably get some "Kickin" legs for the beachtrip!
Back to the unorganized house and CPS, I occasionally read this girl Annemarie's blog and she is an organize queen so i was inspired to go to the dollar store and buy like 40 containers to start organizing my junk, so the reason my bedroom is in shambles is because i cleared out every drawer, D.I'd my closet, got rid of shoes, and not to mention just last Saturday i washed 8 loads of laundry and hadn't folded ANY of it. So imagine my room. I am tempted to take a picture of my room and put it on here. YOU WOULD DIE! i don't know how we don't trip and die every single night, but honestly there has been NOOOOOOOOO choice. Oh yeah, i forgot to mention that if i bend over the slightest bit, it feels like when you dive into a pool and the pressure could make your head explode that is why i haven't done that. My mom wanted to come help more, but honestly I knew she would get sick if she was in this infested home!
Well during this i did manage to have a mini photo shoot with the boys. WHy? Well becausea the guilt was eating me up! Dori, Jason's awesome mom recently gave me some stuff that jason wore when he was a baby. So for forever now, i have been meaning to get their pictures taken in all of it. Well they are usually in sleepers that don't match the clothing so i kept putting it off. Well there heads are getting so big that time was of the essence. THERE was NO MORE DELAYING. you will see how "not quite right" they already look. Oh well, it is done. that is ALL i care about. I figured it was probably better squeezing these little big heads in them rather than an 8 yr old BIG head in them. Have at it. Mitchie's head is still tinyier than Matty's(a sometimes nickname) head, so his turned out a little better. anyway, the prolonged pictures, just more guilt to add in my already full guilt bucket. oh well!

man , i talk to much.

This is cute, even if the hat is a little tight!!

Matthew, hat not on right.

Mitchie, These turned out the best.

"mom, at least sit me up straight, and button the sweater"

"mom, your making us look like dweebs"!

(matthew) "take a hint mom"

Do we believe in the KKK?

Dori, i now this was not how it was supposed to look, i was just desperate to say i "got the picture"

Mitchie sportin the KKK hat, which actually has the neatest story with it. I will one day post the story behind this old handkie.

Jason's sweater and hat

"mom, take some pride in these pictures please"

Alexis's way of thinking.

Well after seriously laughing all day long at the stuff Alexis says, i figure i better post them so that one day i have record of it. I am not that good at writing in my journal lately. I am going to put her funny sayings on the right side of my blog.

Alexis and Camille playing on our hill in the backyard. Don't look at the nasty hill. We are working on it. ALexis isn't dressed. Tights and bloomers. She lives on this hill. It is a big hill and it is pretty steep. I have to hold on to branches or i will tumble down! This is her and Sunny's playground.

Wedding gown dress up and dancing

Camille and Alexis dressing up. Camille is visiting with Jenn for a week. Together the girls are having fun and being very LOUD. These chicks together can give you a HUGE headache. ASk everyone. WOAH!!!!

THe boys already LOVE baby EINSTEIN. I am a believer!

Matthew smiling at Baby Einstein

Mitchie staring and kicking at baby Einstein

Just chillin on the couch

OH boy. I sure love my kids. I can't believe just how much fun this really is. Most days are very "do"able, but about every five days it is hard for a day. I think it is because these boys sleep like 18 hours a day or more. They usually go back to sleep after they wake up in the morning for about and hour. Then an hour later they sleep for about an hour. Around noon or two (depends on the day) they usually take a 3-7 hour nap. Yes you heard correctly. TWO hours after that they are SERIOUSLY ready for bed for the night. THey wake up once in the night to eat around 3ish and go back to sleep until 6:30 ish. It is quite amazing. THey have slept through the night 3 times. I am EATING it up, because just when something is going great, it CHANGES. I know that. They laugh and coo and talk now and it is just the sweetest thing. They really do love Alexis and boy does she love them. So often i hear her whispering "Oh mitchie, i love you boy, your so sweet, yes you are". OR she'll say " I don't love Matthew, I love Mitchie, but i do love Matthew sometimes". SHe has been saying some pretty funny things lately. "Matthew, I love your boobs". I tell you what, i knew i wanted a girl first. The girl should earn a paycheck because she seriously does things for me all day. She will fetch just about anything for me. She gets me water, she picks up the diapers, she runs upstairs about once an hour getting things for me. She babysits for me when i run downstairs to make bottles. She holds bottles in their mouth. She entertains them. Honestly, it is like i have a real helper. SHe is still such a lover. SHe tells me she loves me all day long. I love this chick so much. I am so happy i have a daughter. Now if i can just get her a sister. ENough for tonight. I just had to journal some of the stuff that has been happening lately. I am tired.
