Well that last few days Alexis has taken a strong liking to electrical outlets. SHe looks at me, points to the outlet and says "HUG"? I say "NOOOOOOO, that is very dangerous?" SHe says "Kiss" followed by my even bigger, scarier "nooooooooooo, it will bite you". Then she says "Hug wall?" Then I say, "okay you can hug the wall. Than she starts hugging the wall(imagine it if you can.) and she slowly starts sliding her cheek down the wall to get nearer to the outlet. Should I be worried. Any suggestions? She must do this like 5 times a day right now.
SHe is also climbing the chair to get to the kitchen island. Then she has to get the big salt shaker and hug it. She loves salt, so she TRIES to be very discrete and starts licking the salt from the top. THen she has to hug the pepper mill.
Well, embarrasing moment. She and I were at El Pollo Loco today, and standing behind us in line was an older man, with short white hair. No beard no huge belly, just some whiteish hair. She starts looking behind my shoulder saying "Santa?" I said what and she kept repeating it. WHen i realized what she was saying I saw that others heard it too. I didn't no what to do. I even started turning the total opposite direction, but to my embarrassment, she just kept saying it. Finally I just had to turn to the guy and say "She thinks you are Santa" He was a little shocked. He was nice though. He told me that this country is so rediculous , when people don't let their kids believe in Santa. We became friends.
This happened the other day in Taco Bell. Only this time this was the Santa who works at the Fashion Show mall. ( he later told us) She spotted him, and would not stop standing in her high chair saying his name across the restaraunt. SHe kept asking to touch santa. WHen we were leaving , i told the man, that my daughter thought he was Santa. Then he told me to tell her that he would visit her. In front of him she wanted to touch him again, and kiss him, so he gave her a high five and told us to go visit him at the Fashion Show Mall. He was soooo dang sweet!

That is so so darling that she wants to hug and kiss everything! I cannot wait till Monet does funny things like that.
I say it's better that she's hugging stuff rather than hitting or throwing. We spent a year in nursery and I LOVE the huggie types of kids for sure. Hey, thanks for wanting to be a fly on my wall. Also, do you run stairs on Tuesday nights? I want to start coming but didn't know if it still went on.
What a fun stage and personality. Kate's just freaked of everyone and Truman was the happy hitter in nursery turned sweetheart...maybe this next one. (just watch him be a lemon :)
gotta love alexis' hugs... I know Jackson does... I think a Slade and Miller are gonna have some darn cute kids... And I'll even like his in-laws. It's been arranged Alexis, no backing out now, I don't care if you want someone that looks like Santa, Jackson is for you...
